CHANGING LIVES ONE STEP AT A TIME

The statistics are overwhelming and the reality of the water crisis is sobering. Every year the lives of millions of people worldwide are negatively impacted by contaminated drinking water. From Latin America to Sub-Saharan Africa unclean water has silently become a pandemic killer. Quest Student Ministries and Sarasota Christian Church have joined forces with Edge Outreach and Praying Pelican Missions to fight against this global crisis. While we know we can't change the world overnight and we fully understand that there are numerous organizations that share a similar passion we have come to the realization that this problem has become too big and we cannot stand idley by while knowing people are dying from something we take for granted.

The mission is simple, do what we can where we can and get as many people to help as we can along the way, which is why we are going to Costa Rica this summer to install as many water purification systems as possible. Unlike a lot of mission trips, this is more than a one time shot. We desire to make an eternal impact and to be more than a blip on the radar screen. We have commited to making this an ongoing project that might change the lives of hundreds at first. But soon we will change the lives of thousand, and then hundreds of thousands. Costa Rica is only the begining. Join us and help change lives one step at a time.

On June 22-30, a team of 55 people will travel to Jardines De Moravia, Costa Rica. We will partner with local churches to install as many water purification systems as time allows. Our goal is to provide multiple locations to serve thousands of people with clean disease free water. We will train designated leaders from the villages to opporate and maintain the systems as well as ensure distribution of the clean water to those in need.  Our team will be subdivided into two teams: one to build the purification systems and another to teach the villages about health and sanitation. These teams will also have ample opportunity to share our faith and point others to the "life giving water" of Jesus Christ.

This trip will be an annual trip and this mission will be on going. Even though our team has been complied for 2013 we still need your support. You can play an important role in this mission by praying for our team and the villages we will be serving.

You can even support us financially; for around a $1000 we can completely install a water purification system which can sustainably provide clean water to a village of 1000 people for several years. Some of these systems have been in place for a decade without fail. Think of it this way: $1 can bring 1 person in Costa Rica clean, disease free water for a decade. Absolutely 100% of your donation goes directly to this mission. We are not in this to make money, we are in this to save lives.
